San Francisco - Golden Gate Park - Handlery Hotel - Union Square

A few weeks ago James and I took his parents and the munchkins to San Francisco for a two day extravaganza! I never get to spend as much time there as I'd like but every time I go I see something new and fall even more in love with the city! Day one we drove to SF and spent the day in Golden Gate Park (Which is my favorite park ever), from there we checked into our hotel the Handlery Hotel (Super cute, located in Union Square and family friendly!), after we relaxed at the hotel for a bit we headed out to Union Square and went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (yum!). It was a wonderful day and the kids did great especially sleeping in the hotel that night, I was so proud of them!

Memorial Weekend

I've been pretty busy with work and kids that I haven't shared these pictures I took over Memorial Weekend yet! I know I'm a little biased but these kids sure are cute! 

We played outside, blew bubbles, laughed and picked all the Dandelions out of the yard! It was one of those really low key great weekends!

Adventures in my Backyard

Literally, my backyard! Sunday we had beautiful weather and spent some time outside soaking in a little vitamin D! I love how my backyard transforms during the spring and summer months, it goes from everything being dead and brown to green and exploding with life! I love working in my yard and gardening, the sunshine and warmth...it brings me happiness! I really can't wait to get my garden planted and all my veggies growing!

By the way, I live with Iron Man and he is really short in person ;-)

One of the best things about where we live now is our backyard and all the fun it provides my family!

Road Trip

This past weekend my family and I made a trip to Elko, NV to visit my in-laws and to celebrate my MIL's birthday! Elko is 4 hours East of Reno and truth be told its the most boring stretch of I-80 i've ever been on. Nevada is not a scenic state and the sagebrush filled desert gets boring after 20min! I snapped a few images with my iPhone to help pass the time...I do have to point out that Nevada is not this green, the green color is a fun little filter from an app on my iPhone :-)

After a long 4 hours in the car we finally made it and the kids had such a blast seeing Nana and Papa! We had cake, played at the park and generally disrupted the peace and quite of Nana and Papa's house! HA!

Before and After

So the floor plan of our current house is a little weird, the living room, dinning room and kitchen are all one big space. for the last 2 years we have had the kids in their own rooms and just crammed all of our office furniture in the area that was technically the dinning room. Well, with moving the kids into the same room we were able to actually utilize the "dinning room" as a dinning room! I'm super pleased with the out come and the fact that everything is less cluttered!
