Just in Time for Summer

I've gone and warmed up my look a bit and done away with the black and brought on the red!

Black hair dye is a tricky foe but with some help from my mom and this awesome beauty product I was able to remove every stitch of black hair dye from my head so I had a blank canvas to work with!

The amazing thing about this product is that it doesn't damage your hair! It doesn't leave your hair brittle, dry or cause split ends! Miracle stuff for women like me who change their hair color every six months! My hair is actually softer after using it and I did 3 treatments in less than 24 hours! Pretty impressive if you ask me!

Normally when summer hits I long for the sun kissed blonde highlighted look but I've grown to like darker colors even in the summer time so I wasn't going to go the blonde route but I was in need of a change! Truth be told whenever I get restless or bored I want to color my hair and yes I'm feeling restless these days but more on that later. Anywho, I needed a change but didn't want to do blonde so I decided to go with red! Years ago I did red and it never was exactly what I wanted so I made my husband promise never to let me do red again! When I made the grand announcement 2 weeks ago that I would be coloring my hair red he said, "Wait, I think I'm supposed to stop you from doing that." In response I said, "don't listen to me then listen to me now!" I think he then grumbled something about girls being confusing! In truth, he's right, but don't tell him that!

A lot of women just have their hair done at a salon and get it professionally colored but I didn't have a couple hundred to drop on what I knew would be a complicated process since i've been dying my hair black for the last 9 months. And like I stated earlier, black is a tricky foe! So who do I go to for help and advise on this project? Why, the woman who started me on this path of coloring my hair at the age of 12, my mom! Thanks to her knowledge, sound advise and generous financial donations I ended up with a red that I'm very happy with and a new look for summer! Aren't moms just the best!
