Since the moment my daughter was born she has possessed the ability to "Pout" incrediblly well. But as of just recently i've realized that she has perfected The Pout and I mean "Pout" in its truest sense as described by Merriam-Webster...
"to show displeasure by thrusting out the lips or wearing a sullen expression"
Here she is..only 3 weeks old...
that's an okay pout, she mixed in a little crying so its not the truest form of a pout but she was only 3 weeks old at the time.
She is now close to 21 months (a little over a 1 1/2) and I fully believe she has perfected the pout!
Because I usually have some kind of camera on me at all times I was able to properly document from start to finish The Pout.
I was taking a few iPhone pictures of my son Jack who was wearing his Batman costume (He had dressed himself for the day... but that's another story). Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Kaylee was playing with something really quietly (never a good sign with my children) so I called her over to where I was sitting. She reluctantly walked over to me.
I asked her what she had and she slowly showed me that she had a Q-tip (recently she has learned to open the bathroom door, woe is me!). I explained that Q-tips were not toys and she wasn't allowed to have it.
I also asked her to please give me the Q-tip
She did not, so I took the Q-tip
And here is where she has perfected the pout in its truest form, bottom lip thrust out, sullen expression on face and glistening tears in her eyes but she doesn't let them spill over so she is not actually crying.
Oh she is good...cute as can be and trying her hardest to break me! Honestly it took all I had not to audibly say "Aww..." when she gave me that look!
