Everyday Beauty Products That ROCK!

Here are 4 Everyday Beauty products I cannot live without!
I love makeup; I just don’t wear it everyday. It’s not practical to spend the time doing my makeup when most days I’m just hanging out at home with my munchkins. However, I do like to look fresh and healthy, taking care of yourself (especially us moms) is vital in maintaining ones sanity in a chaotic world! These four products help me feel my best even when I’m not wearing makeup, running on little sleep and chasing after crazy munchkins!

1. St. Ives Eye and Face Stress Gel Cucumber and Elastin
I apply this first thing in the morning around my eyes to cover the fact that my two year old STILL wakes up in the middle of the night and I usually am running on less then 6 hours of sleep a day! The cucumber extract minimizes fine lines and puffiness while the elastin firms the skin. I love the fresh cucumber scent and the fact that it cools the skin where you apply it! St. Ives has recently changed their packaging but you can still find this in most grocery/drug stores!

2. Vaseline i.e. Petroleum Jelly
Vaseline is by far one of the most versatile beauty products! You can use the stuff for ALL kinds of things! Every morning I dab some on my lips for a simple lightweight sheen and to add moisture. I also do this right before I go to bed to help keep my lips soft and chap free. Some other great uses are: rubbing a small amount around your cuticles before painting your nails this helps keep the paint on your nails, keeps your cuticles from drying out and gives you a really professional and clean look. During the summer I like to dab a little Vaseline on my cheeks and go over that with a light powder bronzer, it gives you a really fresh healthy glow (you can also do this with your favorite shade of blush!) and it’s a great makeup remover!

3. Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream
Oh how I love Cetaphil! I have ridiculously sensitive skin and for years I couldn’t find a moisturizer for my face that didn’t either make me break out or that made my face feel greasy! I have very dry skin and living in Nevada doesn’t help that so not having a moisturizer for my face was depressing. Like with most beauty products a friend of mine introduced me to the wonders of Cetaphil and my world has never been the same! I use the cream on my face every night before bed and since it is a cream you might think it would feel greasy or heavy but it doesn’t! Also, a little goes a long way with this stuff so you really only need a tiny bit to adequately cover your face.

4. Last but not least is the Cetaphil moisturizing lotion! Hands, feet, legs, arms, and elbows…this stuff is a great lightweight lotion to help your skin stay soft and hydrated. Best of all its for ALL skin types! Doesn’t make your skin more oily, doesn’t leave a greasy film just keeps your skin nice and healthy!

None of these take long to apply and they keep you looking vibrate and fresh!

Thanks for the great tips. I never thought about using Vaseline for the cuticles as a way of keeping the nail polish where it is suppose to go.
